October 2020 - January 2021
The agency project was a semester project at CODE University focusing on the second part of the double diamond design process. At the beginning of the semester, we were given a design brief, our starting point leading to a concrete prototype. The project’s main topic was clothing, how to trace it, and make the system more sustainable.
Task flow
Navigation design
Wire-frame
User testing
Screen design
Our team was composed of another designer.
Once the app concept defined, we started building the task flows. The task flows are the equivalent of blueprints in architecture. From there, we sketched out lo-fi & hi-fi wireframes following design principles and navigations patterns.
We conducted moderated remote (due to the pandemic context) testing with our prototype. To have in-depth input from our users, we experimented with different types of testing.
First, we conducted an assessment testing to highlight the possible flaws and evaluate the general functionality of our product.
In our second round of tests, we ask the user to compare two prototypes diverging on their navigations. The first had a more conversational aspect, whereas the second one was more of a usual type of navigation.
The last test we ran on the prototype was less restrictive and allowed the testers to explore and express emotional impressions about the concept.
After each round of testing, we analysed and reviewed our prototype, fixed the flaws, and improved our designs based on the user inputs.
Implementing the user testing remarks in our high fidelity wireframes, we came up with this working prototype combining a conversational type of navigation.
The atomic design system and the gridded layout convey an appealing and powerful consistency to the designs we made.
