Challenge
The design research/study for the university focused on how the covid-19 pandemic affected social interactions during the first wave. This project was concentrated on the first part of the double diamond.

My role
In that project, I conducted the research on my own.
Research methods
To collect data for our research, I conducted episodic narrative interviews, shadowing, and diary studies (that included different design methods). I approached our data analysis using the fulfilled psychological needs theory described by Marc Hassenzahl. I also analyzed the gathered user’s input under a hedonistic prism, following the positive design principles.
Research results
From the data clustering, I developed insights that were illustrated through a long narrative. This led me to the formulations of “How might we“ questions, based on the research brief drafting.
